Eid-ul-Adha Qurbaani

Eid-ul-Adha Qurbaani

The significance of Eid-ul-Adha

Eid-ul-Adha is one of the two main Eid’s in Islam. The day falls on the 10th of the 12th month of the Islamic calendar. The reason this Eid is so important is to celebrate Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah and his willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail. This Eid is known as the festival of sacrifice.

What is Qurbaani?

The act of Qurbaani means to slaughter an animal as a sacrifice to celebrate this occasion. The animal can either be a sheep, lamb, goat, camel or bull. The animal must be slaughtered in a halal way.

Al-Kawthar’s Eid-ul-Adha Campaign
