The event was titled ‘Faith and Gender Violence’ and was chaired by Hayder Al-Khoei from the foundation. The Panelists involved, the project’s very own Director Maha Ridha MBE,  who presented the project’s work to the audience, in particular in Iraq and with internally displaced persons (IDPs) and showed the audience a short movie on our work in different areas with widows and orphans.

Other panellists included Huda Jawad and Nicole Adams, from the ‘Standing Together Against Domestic Violence’, who presented their work in the prevention of domestic violence and with victims, and offered practical solutions and programs to aid in this. As well as Livyar Mustafa, a research student from St George’s University London, who discussed with the audience regarding Honour Based Violence and killings in Iraq.
