Al-Sadiq and Al-Zahra School’s Fundraising Day

Fundraising Week to Support the Al-Kawthar Project For Widows & Orphans

On the 24th January 2018, The Al-Sadiq and Al-Zahra Schools held a fundraising week to support the Al-Kawthar Project For Widows & Orphans. Throughout the days, the pupils took part in various activities and this year, they organised a special assembly where Sheikh Hanif gave a talk on the role of Sayyida Zainab (AS) and women in Islam. After this, UmRana and UmLayla from Al-Kawthar gave a brief presentation on how the Al-Kawthar Project was founded.

Talent Show Competition

Then the school arranged a talent show competition where the students were asked to prepare a small display of their talents and after this, the girls were trained by their P.E. teacher, who is the highest ranking master of Taekwondo as a female, to perform a Taekwondo show.

Throughout the week the girls were also selling food (within regulations) and the profit was given to Al-Kawthar and they also had a mufti day where they raised money for Al-Kawthar Project.

Al-Kawthar would like to thank to the school staff, the students and their parents for all of their efforts and planning that went into these days, and their regular contributions to Al-Kawthar Project.
